1. Tell us about your background in Physiotherapy.
My main interest in physiotherapy is in injury prevention and management of sporting injuries. Since graduating from the Masters in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2009 I have worked in a number of different sports settings. These have included the Australian Softball Development Squad, various local Australian Rules Football teams, the HK national mens and womens cricket teams, HK touch rugby national team, onsite physiotherapist for the HK ITF tours and for ‘The House of Dancing Water’ in Macau.
2. What are your interests?
I have a true passion for sports and can talk for hours on the importance of injury prevention. Outside of work I am an avid reader and a mum to two gorgeous little boys.
3. Tell us about a life-changing experience or adventure you’ve been on.
My biggest life-changing experience was moving to Macau almost four years ago to work with the performers at “The House of Dancing Water’. It was a truly eye-opening experience and the passion and dedication that the performers had for their job constantly inspired me to be better at mine.
4. What is your area of expertise?
All things sports related.
5. What is the most fulfilling part of the job?
I get true satisfaction when I am able to assist someone back to doing something they love, whether that is being able to go for a run, returning to a team or diving off a 20m platform.
